PRC COMPASSION is an inter-denominational cooperative network of more than 500 churches and ministries that was

formed in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.  In the face of that crisis a group of pastors and ministry leaders,

who were already close friends, realized that with the devastation of Katrina’s landfall they would be provided an

unprecedented opportunity – “To Serve Our Neighbors.” Expanding on their existing relationships, these pastors determined

to make a difference in the lives of the millions of people affected.

Since that beginning the Lord has allowed PRC Compassion to continue to serve and bring “hope within reach” in Louisiana,

Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, California and Peru.

Today PRC Compassion’s four-fold mission is:

Local Church-Led Disaster Response

Connecting Spiritual Leaders with State Leaders

Walk-the-Earth Relationships

Pastoral & Church Resourcing

Here is a couple of comments from Pastor’s throughout the State who were able to serve in opening
the Senate’s sessions with prayer:

“Opening the Louisiana State Senate in prayer was the highlight of my day. Please thank the rest of the staff and

express our gratitude for everything you have done to make these types of experiences possible. I scheduled a

regular monthly check for your support…” Pastor Jim Woodard

“I have fond memories of that day.  Thank you for your warm and welcoming reception.  Your kindness and

hospitality put both me and my son at ease. Without it, the setting and surroundings would have left me very

nervous and intimidated.  I thank God for your ministry there.  May it continue to bring Him glory.” Pastor A.J. Heine

Here are some comments from Legislators & Capitol Staff:

“Thanks for all you do for all of us. “ Sen. Willie Mount

“I know you are there.  Words can never express my gratitude and my appreciation for each of you providing the

spiritual energy that only He can provide through you.” Sen. A.G. Crowe
